The grounds are dotted with tables, chairs and benches for alfresco eating, or for quiet reading or gazing with a bottle of the local Gaillac wine. The table outside the front door, looking eastwards along the millpond and down to the river, makes the perfect spot for breakfast.
Enjoy lunch or evening drinks by the pool or on the balcony, festooned with wisteria and overlooking the river, where you may spot brown trout, kingfishers or otters. The barbecue is set in the old bread oven, with a large table (seats 8-10) overlooking the millpond and surrounded by roses, honeysuckles and sweet peas.
